Dennis Tufano, original lead singer of The Buckinghams… In 1967, Billboard Magazine called The Buckinghams “the most listened-to band in America”. You couldn’t turn on your radio or TV without hearing one of their chart-toppers like “Kind of a Drag”, “Hey Baby! They’re Playing Our Song”, “Don’t You Care”, “Mercy, Mercy, Mercy” or “Susan”. Dennis brought the house down at our big show at FAU last year and we’ve been getting requests to bring him back ever since. He’s got the voice, the look, the stage presence – a certified rock star live on our stage at the Delray Marriott.
Shirley Alston Reeves, original lead singer of The Shirelles… The real deal! The Shirelles were one of the first and certainly among the very best of the girl groups of their era. John Lennon proclaimed the Shirelles his favorite group and The Beatles even tipped their hats by covering a couple of Shirley’s hits. From 1960 to ‘63, The Shirelles charted a dozen Top 40 singles. With their innocent yet soulful vocal style and flawless production, the group’s original hit recordings stand the test of time, still being used in countless movies, TV shows and commercials. “Will You Love Me Tomorrow”, “Soldier Boy”, “Tonight’s the Night”, “Baby It’s You”, “Mama Said”, “Everybody Loves a Lover”, “Foolish Little Girl”… it’s no wonder The Shirelles were voted the best female group by Billboard & Cashbox magazines for 5 consecutive years. The group has received honors from BMI, the USO, the US Congress and many others. In 1996, The Shirelles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. As you’ll see and hear, Shirley looks and sounds better than ever as she is joined by the talented voices of Iris Lammers and Madeline Morris to recreate those Shirelles’ classics.
The tickets… are priced at $169 (Reserved Seating). This includes live entertainment (from our live dance band and the 2 headliners) throughout the evening, dinner, dessert, a champagne toast at midnight and a live broadcast from Times Square. We’ve even included self-parking, for which there is usually a charge.
Dinner and dessert… The Delray Beach Marriott has long been known for its delectable offerings at special events and, needless to say, New Year’s Eve will feature some of the resort’s finest. We are pleased to offer a world-class buffet loaded with their finest. This year’s menu will be announced soon, but here’s a sampling of last year’s… Homemade Tomato Bisque (with croutons and sharp chedddar cheese), Mini Wedge Salad (with tomato, bacon, red onion and blue cheese), Classic Caesar Salad (with romaine hearts, ciabatta croutons and Grana Padano), Herb-Grilled Chicken Breast with tomato basil relish, Seared Salmon with horseradish cream, “Chef’s from the Garden” Vegetarian Pasta and several carving stations featuring a Grilled Beef Tenderloin with Demi Glace, Chive Whipped Mashed Potatoes, Haricot Verts, Jumbo Roasted Asparagus and a lavish dessert display that will satisfy any sweet tooth. There will also be plenty of Seasonal Fruit for those who instate their New Year’s resolutions early.
Dancing… If you’ve got the stamina, the dance floor will be open all night! We do things the old-fashioned way – with live singers, live musicians and even live horns. Live drums provide the back beat, saxophones and trumpets blaring just like on those great original recordings. It’ll be just the right volume and just the right groove for a discerning audience that knows what good music is.
Parking… is included! Your New Year’s Eve ticket price also includes self-parking at no charge or discounted valet parking. (Please note that overnight hotel guests are subject to the regular overnight parking charges. We regret that complimentary and discounted parking is only for the duration of the event and is not available to those who are remaining on property after the event concludes.)

Dress code semi-formal, black tie optional. (Jackets and collared shirts preferred for gentlemen. No jeans, shorts, sandals or athletic wear.) This year, the dress code will be strictly enforced, without exception. The event begins at 9:00 PM, but you may arrive up to 30 minutes earlier to check-in.
